Our beloved “first born” passed away peacefully and painlessly at home (due to the caring, compassionate, and competent work of HomeHearts) on June 13, 2021 at the age of 13, surrounded by his “pack.” Our loving, loyal, faithful yellow lab has been our constant companion since he was 3 months old. He was with us before our kids and even before we were married 11 years ago. He has always been a part of our family, even before it was officially a family. He loved exploring his favorite parks off leash, swimming in any body of water, greeting every person that walks by like he’s known them all his life, and getting bum scratches and belly rubs. Our family will never be the same, and we will miss him everyday. To our 1 year old red lab: Duke, you’ve got some big paws to fill.
